Ex-Samsung Worker Charged for Leaking Patent Secrets

Former Samsung Electronics IP Center employee indicted for leaking confidential patent analysis materials to NPE "patent troll" company in exchange for $1 million. Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office charged the employee and NPE representative with trade secret violations and bribery. The leaked materials helped NPE secure $30 million patent contract with Samsung Electronics. Additional charges include document forgery and involvement of other Samsung employees in transmitting confidential information.
