CurioXR Inc. sued Meta Platforms Inc. in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas, alleging Meta's Quest VR headset direct touch feature infringes patents 11,531,448 and 11,656,742. The feature allows users to interact with VR technology using hand gestures. CurioXR claims it contacted Meta in January 2024 about its patent portfolio covering VR and AI technologies and proposed a licensing agreement before filing suit.
