Nokia won patent lawsuit against Acer and Asus at Munich I Regional Court over H.265 video codec patent EP2375749. Court ruled manufacturers were "unwilling to license" despite Nokia's FRAND-compliant offers. Sales ban now enforced in Germany - Acer's website offline, Asus PCs marked "out of stock." Nokia deposited millions for provisional enforcement. Both manufacturers considering appeals. Retailers can sell existing inventory but receive no replenishment until resolution.
