Patent Ruling Forces Acer and ASUS to Suspend PC Sales in Germany

Nokia obtained German court ruling against Acer and ASUS for violating HEVC video codec patents. Both PC manufacturers must suspend sales in Germany until obtaining proper Nokia licensing. Third-party retailers can sell existing inventory but cannot import new stock. Hisense faced similar situation and purchased license earlier this month.
