The Plaintiff shall review the opinion in Estee Lauder Cosmetics Ltd. v. Schedule A, 334 F.R.D. 182, 188-90 (N.D. Ill. 2020) (trademark case but applicable to patent cases too), and file a supplemental memorandum addressing the propriety of joinder by 04/23/2025. In lieu of the supplemental memorandum, by the same deadline, the Plaintiff may file an amended complaint with (a) one defendant or (b) a subset of the defendants along with a memo explaining why joinder of those defendants is proper. For now, the motion 4 to seal is granted provisionally. The Court will again review the propriety of sealing when evaluating the underlying motions. The TRO motion 10 and motion 12 for alternative services are taken under advisement for now given the joinder issue. But the Plaintiff must email a proposed TRO order in MS Word format by 04/23/2025. The motion hearing of 04/15/2025 is vacated. The tracking status hearing of 05/02/2025 remains in place. The joint initial status report deadline is vacated for now.
