Thin Wall Container Made With A Recycled Material

A thin wall container for a liquid reference volume comprises a neck and a wall made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET). The PET consists of at least 50% by weight of post-consumer recycled PET (rPET) obtained via a mechanical recycling route (refining, washing, and/or grinding). The container is characterized by a wall featuring a thin portion with an average thickness ranging from 50 µm to 150 µm. The container may be produced via blow molding, such as injection stretch blow molding. The design aims to provide low coloration for transparent liquids like water while reducing plastic usage. In some embodiments, the container weight to liquid reference volume ratio ranges from 5.27 g/L to 20.0 g/L, depending on the reference volume.
